When choosing a method for recreating a long-lost structure, whose image is difficult to recreate, analogies and scientific hypotheses are of paramount importance. This article discusses the application of the "hypothetical" method, which was needed to obtain a methodology for reconstruction, in which a prerequisite is to follow the developed scientific rules for the use of strict analogies, the measure of which is reliability. It is used if the building has been lost for a long time and there is little information about it. In this case, it is necessary to use strict analogies, which differ from simple ones, in that they contain the reasoning from which the conclusion is drawn.
