Abstract

Research work has been carried out to develop the service life of injection and blow molds for the production of plastic products. The effectiveness of using diamond-like carbon (DLC) coatings for replace of the electroplated chromium on mold parts is shown. Certain optimal conditions for the use of DLC coatings on parts of injection and blow molds. Injection molds with coatings were tested under production conditions.
