The need to assess the economic potential of an enterprise is an urgent scientific and practical task, especially in the context of the digital transformation of the economy, characterized by a fundamental restructuring of business processes and, as a result, the emergence of new opportunities and additional benefits for business entities. In the article, based on the results of generalizing approaches to determining the essence of the economic potential of an enterprise and its quantitative assessment, a methodology is proposed that provides for the inclusion of the sub-potential of information and communication technologies in the structure of the structural components of the enterprise's potential (along with labor, financial, technological and production), which allows taking into account the specifics of assessment of the resource capabilities of an enterprise in the context of its digital transformation. The methodology is distinguished by a comprehensive approach that takes into account the interaction and interdependent influence of all components through the use of three blocks of indicators that characterize both the availability of resources to the enterprise and the possible effectiveness of their use, which corresponds to the modern idea of the essence of the economic potential of a business entity.
