Currently, our life is inextricably linked with innovative technologies, in particular with artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence absorbs everyone and everything around it. The relevance of studying artificial intelligence is beyond doubt. The need for a more thorough study of this topic opens up new opportunities for risk management in regional logistics systems. New opportunities are a step towards new discoveries and thus for improving the quality of risk management in regional logistics systems.
This article examines the theoretical and applied aspects of using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to improve risk management in regional logistics systems (RLS). The need for a transition from reactive to proactive risk management methods in the face of increasing environmental turbulence is substantiated. A classification of RLS risks, structured by source and degree of controllability, is proposed. A conceptual architecture for an intelligent risk management system is developed, including modules for monitoring, forecasting, assessment, and response. Machine learning algorithms for predicting disruptions in logistics flows were tested using regional transport and warehouse hubs as an example. It was proven that the implementation of intelligent tools improves risk identification accuracy by 20–30 %, reduces response time by 25–35 %, and reduces losses from risk events.
The study's results can be used by regional governments, logistics operators, and industrial enterprises in digitalizing risk management processes.
