Author Guidelines

To submit an article to the journal “Vestnik of Brest State Technical University” you must provide the editorial board with:

  • Article text.
  • Information about the authors is filled in for each author. We strongly recommend that you indicate your ORCID ID, contact phone number and e-mail.
  • An expert opinion (for authors from other universities) on the possibility of publishing materials or an author (for authors from BrSTU) for preparing an expert opinion, bring to the office. 16 (ground floor), 2 university building. Documents can be sent by mail to the university address with the note “Editorial Board of the journal Vestnik of BrSTU”, scanned and sent by email: rio@bstu.by or uploaded in the material tab.

Articles submitted to the journal “Vestnik of Brest State Technical University” must meet the following requirements:

  • On the first page in the upper left corner you should indicate the index of the article according to the Universal Decimal Classification (UDC), below is the title of the article, and below it are the initials and surnames of the authors, information about the authors (last name, first name, patronymic, academic degree, title, position, place of work (organization, city, country), e-mail).
  • The title of the article should be short and exactly correspond to the main content of the article.
  • The article must have a structure: introduction, main part (must have a title), conclusion.
  • The article is accompanied by: an abstract (abstract) of at least 200 words and keywords in Russian and English.
  • The length of the article is not limited, but not less than 14,000 characters with spaces. Please note that the main text of the material is taken into account (from the introduction to the list of cited sources), i.e. the title, information about the authors, abstract, keywords and bibliography will not be considered.
  • Drawings, tables and photographs are arranged according to the text, and also drawings are attached separately in a computer set. The size of drawings and photographs should preferably be no more than 10x15 cm. They should contain a minimum number of inscriptions. All designations and inscriptions in drawings and photographs must be explained in captions.
  • The list of used literature must contain at least 20 sources. For citation, we recommend choosing articles from good journals indexed in Scopus, scientific monographs, patents, etc., excluding abstracts of reports, unpublished works (except for dissertations). A list of cited sources is drawn up at the end of the article in the order of references in the text, in accordance with GOST 7.1-2003 (Bibliographic description of a document. General requirements and rules for compilation) and a sample design. The list of cited sources (References) should also be presented in translit form; for translation you can use the service: translit-online.ru. Be sure to include a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) if available.

Articles are submitted in the following format:

  • in the text editor Microsoft Word;
  • paper size A4 (21×29.7 cm);
  • font Arial, Arial Narrow 12 pt;
  • the text is typed without hyphens, aligned to the width of the page;
  • line spacing – 1.5 lines; paragraph indent – ​​0.5 cm;
  • margins: top – 2 cm, bottom – 2 cm, left – 2.5 cm, right – 2 cm;
  • drawings are arranged according to the text, and are also presented each in a separate file, typed in CorelDraw (in *.cdr, *.tif format), AutoCad (in *.dwg format);
  • photographs are scanned with a resolution of at least 300 dpi, saved in *.tif, *.jpg format;
  • tables are typed in Word, Excel are arranged according to the text;
  • For formulas, it is recommended to use the MathType formula editor.

Failure of the authors to comply with these requirements gives the right to return articles.
