Abstract

A study was conducted on the bending of rectangular cross-section samples made of corrosion-resistant 40X13 steel after laser quenching and laser alloying. It has been established that the presence of a laser exposure zone leads to an increase in the area of elastic operation of the samples in the range of 20–30 percent in accordance with the implemented material processing mode and an even more significant increase in the level of perceived maximum load.
