Abstract

This article discusses the optimization of traffic management in modern cities. The prospects of optimizing traffic management in modern cities, the problems of
rapid growth of the automobile fleet, the need to introduce new methods of regulating road transport to reduce congestion and improve traffic efficiency on busy road sections are considered. The advantages and disadvantages of various methods of optimizing
traffic management are described, and the methods given in the article are compared. The methods of calculating the parameters of coordinated regulation for optimizing the operation of traffic lights are analyzed when considering both theoretical and practical aspects of the study. Calculations of control optimization methods for a certain data set are presented, the results of the calculations are investigated and conclusions are drawn on the effectiveness of using these methods of optimization.
