Abstract

The electronic chinese yuan, also known as digital yuan and officially referred to as digital currency electronic payment, is a digitized version of china's official currency, the yuan.
The electronic yuan is part of the monetary base (M0) of the country, i.e. is cash in circulation.
This article studies and systematizes the experience of the People's Bank of China in issuing digital yuan. Various approaches to the definition of a digital currency issued by a central bank are considered.
