Abstract

A number of important points and indicators that characterize the current state and potential of the Belarusian agricultural production are considered. The Republic of Belarus seriously lags behind the countries of Western Europe, North America, Japan, Israel and other developed countries in the innovative development of agriculture. The lag in innovative development was due to the underestimation over the past three decades of the progressive possibilities of new technologies and their insignificant introduction into agricultural production. Over the past decade, in the agricultural organizations of the republic, there has been a decrease in the indicator of energy capacity per 100 hectares of cultivated land for agricultural enterprises by 15%, and the indicator of energy capacity per employee of agricultural organizations during this time has increased by more than 1.4 times. Energy capacity indicators have a very significant and often decisive impact on the efficiency of agricultural production and the level of labor productivity in agricultural organizations.
