FAMILY BUSINESS: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT IN THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS

The development of small and medium-sized family businesses in modern conditions is one of the key indicators of socio-economic growth of GDP. Family entrepreneurship is considered to be the oldest and most widespread form of business organization in the world.
This article raises problematic issues of family business development in the Republic of Belarus and suggests measures to solve these problems. The implementation of the numerical measures will contribute not only to improving the efficiency of family entrepreneurship, but also create opportunities for the preparation of successors and the legally correct transfer of business by inheritance. Without an active state policy in this direction, family business in the Republic of Belarus will continue to operate only in the format of self-employment and will not be able to play a more significant role in the development of the national economy, providing employment, increasing tax revenues, maintaining social and economic stability.
