Abstract
The tools of urban planning assessment are key in analyzing and optimizing the structural and functional characteristics of the central area of the city. The rational construction of a system of public service facilities is of great importance, since it not only contributes to improving the quality of life of citizens, but also supports the economic and cultural activity of the city. This article discusses the analytical approaches and methods tested by the author on the example of G. Gomel and possible applications in determining the dynamics and features of the development of a public function in the central zone and core of the city.
